As part of ‘Chennai Sangamam’ a host of interesting events have been lined up at 17 venues across the city on Monday.

The evenings at most locations begin at 4.15 p.m. with Kuzhandhaigal Kathai Neram (Story telling). From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. folk performances including Naiyandi Melam, Koikal Kuthirai, Puliattam and Kokkilikattai would be held.

For an hour and half from 6 p.m. different programmes including Carnatic vocal, fusion music (Bouganvilla Park at Anna Nagar) and Western Classical (Lady Wellington School) would be organised.

At Elliots Beach in Besant Nagar, day one of the Rock band competition Let People Live would begin at 12.30 p.m. and go on till 9 p.m.

The Anna Arangam at the Island Grounds would play host to the repeat of the inaugural show Pirapokkum from 6.30 p.m.
